The Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) is a premier multi-disciplinary nuclear research centre of India, with a wide spectrum of activities covering the entire gamut of nuclear science and engineering. It is a constituent unit of the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Government of India. BARC's primary mandate is to conduct research and development in nuclear science, materials science, advanced instrumentation, health, and environmental sciences. It also plays a crucial role in India's nuclear power program.

Monthly Salary / Pay Scale

• Scientific Officer-E (Cardiology, Nuclear Medicine): Level 12 (₹78,800 + NPA)
• Scientific Officer-E (Hospital Administrator): Level 12 (₹78,800 + NPA)
• Scientific Officer-D (All disciplines): Level 11 (₹67,700 + NPA)
• Technical Officer-D (Nuclear Medicine Technology): Level 11 (₹67,700)
• Scientific Officer-C (General Duty/Casualty Medical Officer): Level 10 (₹56,100 + NPA)

Other Relevant Details

• Desirable Experience for Technical Officer-D (Nuclear Medicine Technology): 4 years experience. Experience in full-fledged Nuclear Medicine Centre having PET/CT Scanner and GAMMA camera/SPECT/CT System will be preferred.
• General Information:
  • Applications will be accepted online only through BARC website.
  • Candidates must produce printout of online application and admit card at the time of interview.
  • Original certificates along with attested copies of all relevant documents must be submitted at interview.
  • The nature of duties involves working in round the clock shift duties.
  • Selected candidates will initially be posted at Mumbai/Kolkata and are liable to be posted to any Units of BARC in India or any Constituent Units of Department of Atomic Energy.
  • SC/ST candidates called from outstation will be paid to and fro travelling allowance as per rules.
  • Persons working in Central/State Government/PSUs must submit NOC at the time of interview.
  • Date of Birth filled in online application and recorded in Matriculation/Secondary Examination Certificate will be accepted for determining age.
  • BARC reserves the right to reject or accept candidature of any applicant at any stage.
