Monthly Salary / Pay Scale
- Young Professional: Rs. 60,000/- per month (lump sum)
Other Relevant Details
- Contract Period: 1 year (extendable by 1 year based on satisfactory performance).
- Job Description: Young Professionals will be attached with the office of CIT(DR) or Sr. DR in the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal, studying paper books, analyzing judgments, identifying distinguishing facts, and preparing briefing notes/submissions.
- Leave: Eligible for 8 days leave in a calendar year, accrued on a pro-rata basis. Unavailed leave cannot be carried forward.
- Remuneration Exclusions: No DA, accommodation, phone/conveyance/transport, foreign travel, personal staff, medical reimbursement, CGHS or similar facilities will be admissible.
- Employment Status: The engagement does not confer any right to a regular job/appointment or employer–employee relationship with the Income Tax Department.
- Confidentiality: Young Professionals are bound by the Indian Official Secrets Act, 1923, and must sign a Declaration of Secrecy and Non-Disclosure Agreement. They must not publish articles, books, or participate in media activities using information obtained during engagement without prior sanction.
- Discontinuation of Engagement: Engagement may be discontinued at any time by the Department (normally with one month's notice). Young Professionals may resign by giving one month’s notice. Continuous absence for 8 days without information or valid reason will lead to automatic termination.
- Preferred Qualifications: Chartered Accountants with articleship in taxation; Law graduates/post graduates with research work/projects in taxation; candidates with Information & Communication Technology (ICT) skills and strong communication/interpersonal skills.
- Harassment Policy: Provisions of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition & Redressal) Act, 2013 will apply.
