Other Relevant Details

• Essential Qualification & Experience:
  • PhD in Human Geography from a recognized university.
  • Minimum 3 years of research experience after PhD or equivalent project experience.
  • Minimum 5 publications in peer-reviewed journals relevant to environmental studies or human geography.
• Desirable Skills:
  • Ability to conduct qualitative and quantitative field research, including interviews, FGDs, transect walks, participatory mapping, and documentation of community practices.
  • Expertise in GIS & Remote Sensing for analyzing land-use change, drainage networks, canal systems, hydrological pathways, or ecological boundaries.
  • Demonstrated capability in data analysis, report writing, academic manuscript preparation, and visual representation of research findings.
  • Experience collaborating with government agencies, local institutions, and community groups on issues related to water, environment, or peri-urban governance.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary, transdisciplinary, and field-oriented research team.
• General Information/Instructions:

  • The position includes a probation period of 3 months, based on the performance the contract will be extended.
